Dreaming of Vintage Treasures

    Recently, I've been loving the colour pink. I think it may be because I've been seeing so many reels of cute, pink kitchens on Instagram or perhaps it's because I've been adoring my pink, strawberry jug I shared on my blog recently . Regardless, I've never really paid much attention to the colour pink until recently. I was determined to find a pink dress and luckily I didn't have to look far because I found this pink and red dress at the next opshop I visited, Savers. A bit pricey for opshops ($15.80), but I was happy to purchase this dress because it's beautiful and Sportsgirl sell their dresses for $80+ in their stores.     I had to take my new-to-me dress out for a twirl on a day out to Daylesford with my mum. She wanted to visit the lavender farm again whilst the purple delights were still in bloom.           The scent of lavendar was wonderful.   A little while ago, my mum and I visited the Convent restaurant in Daylesford. It's an old convent that has been converted into an art gallery and cute little place to eat. It's surrounded by such pretty gardens.    I had a bit of a giggle as my mum brought some water to our table and slipped on these pebbles. Luckily she was fine and we had a good laugh.      We enjoyed our time sitting at a table under a tree, chatting about all sorts of things and enjoying our spaghetti with prawns.   Outfit details: Coat, vintage basket bag, boots and sunglasses: Market finds. Satin skirt and turtleneck: Retail finds.      We were surprised to spot a sign saying 'Sailor's Falls' as we drove around. After all these years visiting Daylesford, we never realised it had a waterfall! It reminded us that even though we love revisiting our favourite little spots, it's nice to discover new places.    Sunshine and nature, isn't it so good for...

Ahh sunny days, aren't they wonderful? A little while ago, my mum and I visited one of our favourite places, Geelong beach. We loved having a ride on the ferris wheel and looking out at the water. Amazingly, I'm not afraid of heights. Are you? I love the lighting in these photos and coincidentally my yellow gingham dress perfectly matches the ferris wheel. My dress, vintage basket bag and sunglasses were all bargain finds from secondhand markets. I had my Baba on my mind and was missing her so I wore her pearl necklace that day along with a shell necklace my uncle gave my sister, mum and I from his travels to Phuket. Doesn't my mum look beautiful in blue? Next, mum and I had to stop at the merry-go-round, and for $5 we had the time of our lives, giggling as we went around and around! We ended our day out with lunch in a restaurant by the water. We can never go past seafood with pasta and this didn't disappoint.  The waitress working there saw us taking photos of our foo...
