Dreaming of Vintage Treasures

 My sister recently bought Sooshi Mango tickets as a present for my mum's birthday. What a great idea! The comedic group consisted of brothers, Joe and Carlo Salanitri, and their best friend, Andrew Manfre and they were so funny! My mum and I were particularly howling with laughter, but so was the whole audience. The show was being filmed and Joe, Carlo and Andrew had a few moments of breaking character and laughing uncontrollably themselves, it was so hilarious! The line to get into the Palais Theatre was unbelievably long. My family and I entertained ourselves with a walk by the beach and Sunday market, taking photos in front of the giant Luna Park entrance.     I spotted these unusual mugs at one of the market stalls.     Outfit details:  Dress: Kmart.   It is the last day of 2021 - where did the year go? I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share my crochet dress that I made this year. I cannot believe I MADE a dress!!    It has a few lumps and bumps in it that aren't noticeable in these photos. A perfect way to sum up this year, I guess. There have been some bumps in the road, with Melbourne having its 6th lockdown and all the stress and uncertainty that entails.  For schools, it was particularly hard, but we did the very best we could and were determined that the children would keep learning, even if they were learning from home. I had a lovely Christmas celebration with some work friends recently and it's such a nice way to end the year and appreciate the support we give one another.  Of course this was a very special year for me because I met my boyfriend early this year and we just celebrated our first Christmas together.   I hope 2022 is a great, happy, healthy year for you.  Lo...

  Melbourne recently came out of its 6th lockdown and guess what the first thing mum and I did? We went to Spotlight (a huge craft and sewing store) which we were so enthusiastic about. We also went to our favourite country town Daylesford. Over a recent long weekend, we had some nice, sunny weather so mum and I decided it was a perfect day for an adventure.                  We happily wandered around Jubilee Lake and soaked up the sights. The peacocks and ducks even came out to play. Then mum had the bright idea to go on a paddle boat. I'm a precious you see, because despite having swimming lessons as I child, I've long since forgotten how to swim and was imagining myself drowning in the lake.        Convinced I was being a bit dramatic, I decided to give it a go and it was SO much fun.  Hello again! Hope you're all doing well! I'm writing a quick blog post, while I've got a second! Life is always busy but I like to squeeze in time for the things I enjoy, like blogging and posting outfit photos! These photos were taken in April right before I was going on a canolli date. Such an Italian thing of me to do - haha!   I bought this dress not too long ago from a Savers op shop. It was $10-15 which is more than I usually spend on a secondhand dress but I've been wanting a denim dress for years. Plus this one was the perfect colour and length so I didn't mind spending the extra few dollars. Plus I wanted to look cute for my date!
