Dreaming of Vintage Treasures

 My sister recently bought Sooshi Mango tickets as a present for my mum's birthday. What a great idea! The comedic group consisted of brothers, Joe and Carlo Salanitri, and their best friend, Andrew Manfre and they were so funny! My mum and I were particularly howling with laughter, but so was the whole audience. The show was being filmed and Joe, Carlo and Andrew had a few moments of breaking character and laughing uncontrollably themselves, it was so hilarious! The line to get into the Palais Theatre was unbelievably long. My family and I entertained ourselves with a walk by the beach and Sunday market, taking photos in front of the giant Luna Park entrance.     I spotted these unusual mugs at one of the market stalls.     Outfit details:  Dress: Kmart.  Recently, my mum and I went to the Yarra Valley to have a day out at a winery. After a one hour drive, we spotted rolling hills, autumnal leaves and pretty sights at every turn. The air was crisp and chilly, so I wore my mum's Afghan coat. Isn't it fab! My gingham dress with shirring detail was a Kmart find and my vintage bag was found at a market. We stopped at the Balgownie winery estate for lunch and I enjoyed the salmon and triple cooked chips with parmesan aioli chips. Tiny and fancy, but delicious! Sometimes it's nice to visit fancy places. Next time we'd like to visit  the De Bortoli Winery. It was closed on the day we visited but we loved the gardens.         A day out wouldn't be complete without a visit to an opshop. I found these adorable Christmas mugs for $3 each and was so excited to add them to my collection. Ahh sunny days, aren't they wonderful? A little while ago, my mum and I visited one of our favourite places, Geelong beach. We loved having a ride on the ferris wheel and looking out at the water. Amazingly, I'm not afraid of heights. Are you? I love the lighting in these photos and coincidentally my yellow gingham dress perfectly matches the ferris wheel. My dress, vintage basket bag and sunglasses were all bargain finds from secondhand markets. I had my Baba on my mind and was missing her so I wore her pearl necklace that day along with a shell necklace my uncle gave my sister, mum and I from his travels to Phuket. Doesn't my mum look beautiful in blue? Next, mum and I had to stop at the merry-go-round, and for $5 we had the time of our lives, giggling as we went around and around! We ended our day out with lunch in a restaurant by the water. We can never go past seafood with pasta and this didn't disappoint.  The waitress working there saw us taking photos of our foo...
