Dreaming of Vintage Treasures

 Hello! Over a year ago, I found a DREAM vintage item but I haven't had a chance to wear until recently. I found an Ossie Clark dress at a secondhand market for $10!!! Can you believe that?! I've wanted one for years but figured for the thousands of dollars they can sell for, and them mostly being sold in the UK, I'd never find a decently priced one in Australia! Of course, I remember the exact moment I found it. I saw the label, pulled out the dress, stared at it for a long time... my body had a physical reaction with my heart beating and time felt as if it stood still. You'd think it was love at first sight or something - very dramatic, I know! The lady selling it wasn't a regular at the market and may not have even known that Ossie Clark pieces are so collectible. Hello! I hope you are all well. As usual I've had a very busy week teaching remotely from home. I was so tired last night and feeling rather strange but a marathon 11 hour sleep fixed that! Now, I'm not much of a city girl (I much prefer the country) but recently my mum and I had a great day out into the city. We have become one of those people who take photos with their food! Haha! We went there to see the Revolution: Rebels and Records, an   exhibition about showing items from 1966-1970, five years that changed the world.  First things first, we headed straight to an old favourite, Hopetoun Tea Rooms. We shared a lime cake, a chocolate mousse cake and a pot of chai - it was so delicious. It's a bit of a fancy-pancy place for me, but we only go about once a year, so it's a real treat. The cakes are always so yum and I love the green patterned wall paper.  We walked over to the art gallery and I was shocked to find out that the  exhibition wasn't actually at this gallery, in fact it was at the Melbourne Museum. On Sunday, I shared what I wore to a wedding and here are some pictures of an outfit I recently wore to a funeral. I'm not one to ever do this, but this dress is  special .  It's a vintage Radley of London dress. Swinging Sixties designer Ossie Clark and his wife Celia Birtwell made some clothes for Radley and they are much sought after amongst vintage enthusiasts.
