Dreaming of Vintage Treasures

Hello! I hope you are all well. As usual I've had a very busy week teaching remotely from home. I was so tired last night and feeling rather strange but a marathon 11 hour sleep fixed that! I shocked myself waking up at 10.30am today.  Now I'm all refreshed and ready to share some fun pictures with you! Lizzie of vintage.glamour.mama instagram came up with this fabulous idea of inviting fellow vintage lovers to send in their recreation pictures and she compiles them into a video. The aim is to find a vintage photo that you love and try to recreate it. I was thrilled that she included me in a video here . It's been a busy couple of days, thank goodness I'm on work holidays! I treasure this time because I can take time to relax, catch up with friends, family and of course, there's always work I take home with me as a teacher.  On Sunday, my family and I went to my nonna's house to help her install her new stove. I love spending time with my nonna. We ate dinner together and wandered around her garden - she grows all types of vegetables. I even picked some chilli, lavender and sage to take home with me. Thanks nonna!  I also found these treasures at the morning market. I love how they all perfectly colour coordinate. On Monday, my mum and I went to the cinemas to watch 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'. I thought about watching it when I last went to the cinemas with my friend Deana to see the Lion King but then I promptly forgot about it. This is the outfit I wore for the Christmas in July party I was telling you about in my last blog post. I thought it was a good excuse to pull out this emerald satin skirt. It glistens in the sun.  Once I put on my beloved snake print boots, I knew that I needed to pair it with this fringe-y belt. This belt must be 15-20 years old. I remember seeing it in my mum's closest when I was little and I was enamoured with the fringe and metal parts. A little while ago, my mum was cleaning her wardrobe and asked if I wanted this belt. I practically leaped at it! See, we're getting better at sharing. Here my mum is wearing my cord skirt. I'd like to borrow (a.k.a steal) her boots one day.
