Life's been good to me so far

Good morning! Victoria is currently in the middle of its 5th lock-down and since I'm home, I figure now is as good a time as any to look back on my work holidays and share some fun I had a couple of weeks ago. Mum and I went to the most spectacular hidden gem of a cafe called Old Man Drew . We sat in the sprawling garden, which was truly beautiful, with different plants, fruit trees, vegetable plants, vintage items and trinkets to be found around every corner. It was so cute, a truly magical place that I can't wait to return to!     I loved this wall of mirrors and the Christmas in July room (below).   I would have been mesmerised with the atmosphere alone but the food was also so delicious. As I'm indecisive when it comes to ordering food from a place I've never visited before , I like to look at what other people are eating before I order. As soon as we were seated, I spotted a man eating a homemade beef pie with mash potatoes and gravy. Now I'm not a huge mea...

I can't complain but sometimes I still do

While you're reading this, I'll probably still be working on my students' reports. It's that time of year again! These photos were taken back in April when I last had some work holidays. At Brunetti, I had pasta and vongole and my mum had squid ink pasta with crab. I made a mental note to have the crab pasta next time. We left with a lemon gelati in hand. When in doubt, mango or lemon gelati never disappoints.  Outfit details: Suede vest, boots and...

I can't believe it's been a week since I last blogged , it feels like more time has passed. I've been busy at work, learning more as a teacher - the learning never ends! Also my Dedo (grandpa) went into hospital on Saturday. We all had a bit of a scare, but now that the doctors have operated on him, he's feeling much better. Thank God for nurses and doctors - the work they do is really admirable! One good thing that happened during the week was that my mum and I got to see The Eagles in concert on Wednesday night! Source I rushed home from work after a staff meeting, quickly ate some food, got dressed and off we went! My mum and I took some photos in the garden before leaving, then took some more at the park near the venue. My mum's cute, isn't she! The Eagles we amazing! The music, the fact that their voices sound the same as their records, the guitars - I loved it all! As I said on Instagram , there's nothing quite like...
