Can you believe these photos were taken during my January work holidays earlier this year? Time really does speed by! Judging by our winter clothing, these photos very well could have been taken last week as we are now in the middle of winter here in Melbourne. I have lots of photos piled up that I'll eventually share on this blog. Even though I am always behind on blogging, I still like to take photos when out and about or if I'm wearing a cute outfit, don't you worry about that! This must have been after mum and I visited a delectable cheese and wine eatery in Daylesford. We came home telling tales of the delicious food and were inspired to make our very own charcuterie board.  We sat by the river, enjoyed the food and sights and also brought books along to read. All in all, a perfect little adventure.  Mum's wearing: A vintage, opshopped dress. Hair flower, patterned tights and boots - retail finds, bought years ago.   I'm wearing: A vintage jacket and belt - S...

And we danced like a wave on the ocean

Another week, another outfit post.  I quite like this outfit. It was perfect for a cold morning at the market. In fact, every single thing I'm wearing is secondhand and I remember every purchase because I was so excited about each piece.  The turtleneck is wool, made in Italy and only cost $2! I couldn't hand over my money fast enough.  I bought this vintage, sheep wool jacket a couple of years ago for $10. I practically leaped at it! I think you get my point. Secondhand shopping is fantastic. Not only can you score a real bargain, it's sustainable AND you can find some fabulous pieces. After a morning of market fun, I headed off to a baptism for my cousin Stephanie's baby.  It was lovely to catch up with my extended family. I love chatting to my Aunty Zora and my other cousin regaled me with tales of all the wild fun he had on his recent  trip  overseas. And we danced - that's one thing you can guara...

Yes, I've had a busy week We've all had quite a few. Still I'd like to start this blog And share some things with you! Hello, my name is Jessica! I'm excited (and nervous) about starting this vintage blog.  I love wearing vintage or vintage-inspired clothing from the 1960s and 1970s. I don't usually post photographs of myself online, but I have been inspired by many bloggers and I'd love to join the vintage online community.  I spotted these velvet pants (or are they called palazzo pants?) a few weeks ago. I practically pounced on them!  Usually I prefer shopping at markets but I found these in a retail store. Still, I wasn't going to dismiss these pants so easily.  I've been looking for velvet pants for quite a few years now and then all of a sudden I found two pairs at once! Isn't that the way is always goes! I bought this emerald pair and a maroon/ruby pair. I've been wearing the emer...
