Memories, pressed between the pages of my mind

While recently sorting through old photos, I stumbled upon some pictures I'd completely forgotten about. There I was, long curly hair, wearing a denim dress I used to love, and bold orange boots that always made me feel like I'd could be one of Charlie's Angels. These photos were taken in early 2021, I'm pretty sure I was going on a date to Cannoli Bar at the time. Some things never change... I still love a cute outfit and eating a pistachio cannoli! You know that feeling when you look back at old photos and think,  “Wait… I looked amazing!” ? It’s funny how often we don’t see it in the moment, too busy worrying about things that, in hindsight, didn’t matter at all. It’s such a common experience, and yet each time it happens, it feels a little profound  like a gentle reminder that we’re usually far more beautiful than we realised. I'm so happy I've kept a blog post throughout the years. It's like a time capsule, where I can look back on highlights (and out...

Time makes you bolder, even children get older and I'm getting older too

A post of old photos I found from 2021... These photos were taken at Geelong Beach on a cold day. I wore my patchwork leather skirt which I remember being delighted at finding in an opshop. This Afghan style coat was a favourite of mine and I used to wear it all the time.  My mum and I explored the botanic gardens and strolled along the beach, enjoyed seafood pasta for lunch, rode a beautiful yellow carousel and a towering ferris wheel, and even took a train ride! I’m amazed we fit it all into one day! I love how silly and sassy I was in these photos. At times, gazing up at towering trees or the vastness of the stars makes us acutely aware of just how small we are. It's a reminder to enjoy life and not take it so seriously.
