If I can dream of a warmer sun, where hope keep shining on everyone

Last week, my mum and I had the absolute best day out! We went to the Elvis: Direct from Graceland exhibition in Bendigo! After a 1.5 hour drive, we were happy to get out of the car, stretch our legs and be dazzled by the shiny, golden entrance.     I couldn't resist a smooch with my first musical love.       Many years ago, a family friend gave me an Elvis CD from his collection and my taste in music immediately changed. I was hooked on Elvis' music and it led me to uncovering a treasure trove of other old music and bands that I may not have otherwise discovered and gradually influenced my sense of style and love of vintage fashion.     Everyone seemed to have the same idea as us and many were blowing kisses!     I loved the large images plastered on the exhibition walls.     The first part of the exhibition showcased items dating back to Elvis' childhood and highlighted his family's struggles and poverty. I was amused to see his mother's well worn dress on

Run and tell all of the angels, this could take all night

Good morning from sunny Melbourne! After a couple of weeks of cold weather, we will be enjoying some 26 °C warmth over the next two days. Today is my first day of term holidays and I thought it was the perfect time to catch up on writing a blog post! A few week's ago, my sister noticed a lotus farm being advertised online, so off we went to the Blue Lotus Farm, for a family day out. This is the first sight that greeted us. Lotuses everywhere!   We wandered around the beautiful garden, admiring all the different types of lotus species.     Above is the Australian lotus variety and below is one of the world's largest lotus species.   I wore a white dress with big, ruffled sleeves. The last time I wore this dress was a few years ago when the New South Wales bushfires wreaked havoc on our holiday, but worse than that, people's lives and homes. So I decided to wear the dress and make new, happy memories in it!    Mum wore her new Tree of Life dress. Isn't she stunning?
