Memories, pressed between the pages of my mind

Once in a while, my mum and I visit a gorgeous and magical place called the Werribee Rose Garden. It's filled with a variety of roses in every colour and scent imaginable. It's the perfect place to wander around, snap photos, stop and actually smell the roses or have a picnic.  In fact, we have done all of these things in the past, which you may remember reading about  here or  here .  In the former post I have fond memories of a picnic on Australia day back in 2020 with my family friends. I remember my aunty Carmel who's in red in the above photos, who has now passed, admiring and smelling almost every rose, saying "Here Jessica, smell this rose....mmm this rose smells nice... did you smell this rose?" only to conclude that "Jessica, these roses are all beautiful but your mum really has the best rose garden, doesn't she?", which made me laugh. Roses, roses everywhere

Here are some of them...       An Indian couple got married under these red roses. It was very cute.            Outfit details: My bag and suede fringed skirt are both old market finds. I found this amber pendant on eBay earlier in the year and have become quite a collector of jewellery with this s...

And it was all yellow

Fashion, food and flowers. I hope you're interested in these subjects because that is what this post (and many of my others) is about!      My gorgeous sunflowers have been dazzling our backyard, which is cause for celebration! If there's one thing we've been reminded of in 2020, it is to appreciate and enjoy the little things in life. With yellow roses also in bloom, it was only fitting to wear yellow and take some photos in the garden. Wearing bangles galore and my beloved golden sandals, I enjoyed some time in the sunshine.   This sunglasses look is a nod to John Lennon's Walls and Bridges album cover.   Source
