Leaves are falling all around, it's time I was on my way

Greetings!  Here are some snaps of nature in my neck of the woods. These pink flowers bloom near my sister's work and I remember last taking photos in front of them here . June 2021       Mum and I had the urge to visit the Horseshoe Bend Farm, a place we haven't visited in years! We were sad to see it was abandoned. No more horses or other animals or craft activities or cafes. I have fond memories playing here with my friend Renee and my cousins and sister.       So we just entertained ourselves by walking around and taking some photos, as you do.  Look at this huge fig tree! I hope to grow a nice, big fig tree in my own home one day.     After a wander, we drove home, but not before capturing these beautiful trees in all their red, autumnal delight.       I hope your day is as beautiful as these trees.  X        Title : Ramble On by Led Zeppelin.

I've been waiting so long for you down by the river

I love taking photos and looking back on them. If I didn't take photos, I truly wouldn't remember half the things I get up to. I'm spending my term 3 holidays at home due to lockdown, but I'm enjoying looking back on memories from past holidays. From memory, the mint leaf and salted caramel ones were the best.              Outfit details: Absolutely everything found at a secondhand market. I love this embroidered dress and I can't believe it was only $5!     We walked by a lake, soaked up some sun, listened to my nonna tell stories. For lunch, my mum and nonna had pa...

When I'm sad, you're a clown

Okay, now that all my before-the-virus-took-over-the-world blog posts have been published, I can finally get to what I've been up to during this stay-at-home isolation period. My mum, sister and I have been going on nature walks. We went to the Organ Pipes National Park (last visited  here in 2018 ), named so because about a million years ago, lava flowered over Mount Holden and created what looks like organ pipes.  When babysitting my twin cousins, we took them for numerous bush walks. We were thrilled to have found a nearby oasis - one of the silver linings to all this isolation is that we're getting more time to appreciate nature and discover nearby national parks that we didn't pay much attention to before.  On a day that I was feeling down, my mum cajooled me into having some fun dressing up as our favourite 60s/70s fashionistas and dancing around the house. The week before, we had fun dancing and singing to Stevie Nick...
