Time makes you bolder, even children get older and I'm getting older too

A post of old photos I found from 2021... These photos were taken at Geelong Beach on a cold day. I wore my patchwork leather skirt which I remember being delighted at finding in an opshop. This Afghan style coat was a favourite of mine and I used to wear it all the time.  My mum and I explored the botanic gardens and strolled along the beach, enjoyed seafood pasta for lunch, rode a beautiful yellow carousel and a towering ferris wheel, and even took a train ride! I’m amazed we fit it all into one day! I love how silly and sassy I was in these photos. At times, gazing up at towering trees or the vastness of the stars makes us acutely aware of just how small we are. It's a reminder to enjoy life and not take it so seriously. What lessons do you learn when you look back on old photos? X Title : Landslide by Fleetwood Mac. Please visit my: eBay Store Instagram

Beach baby, beach baby, give me your hand

A day by the beach, what could be better? One sunny day on my work holidays, my mum and I visited Geelong beach. First we popped into the Vintage Mills Market. Looks at these vintage treasures... Next we strolled by the beach.  Passing the  carousal , we couldn't resist having some childlike fun. The Carousel's website says: " The Armitage-Herschell portable steam driven, hand-carved wooden carousel was constructed circa 1892 and is one of only 200 in operation around the world.   Featuring 36 Dare horses and 2 chariots, it was purchased by the Steampacket Place Development Board in 1996 and painstakingly restored." The view from the carosaul centre is beautiful. For lunch, we ate at a lovely restaurant by the beach called Fisherman's Pier. We love returning to enjoy the seafood linguini - delicious!  The four beach ladies waved us goodbye as we made our way back to our car. Goodbye beach, it was nice seeing you! Hey Jude, don't make it bad

Thanks so much for sticking around for my last few blogs about the fires in New South Wales. It wasn't the happiest of experiences but now I'm going to move onto better and sunnier days.  After all, what are holidays for? For me, they're a time to catch up with friends, family, have days out at the beach and squeeze in all things I want to do but don't necessarily have time for when working. So towards the end of my January holidays, I did just that! Williamstown Beach became our go-to spot on warm days. My mum and I strolled by the beach, found a lovely restaurant and had pasta with vegetables for lunch. Every time we've eaten there, the food never disappoints.  I think I'd fancy living near the beach  but I also love the country. I still have a fair bit to save before I'll feel comfortable moving out and to  be honest I think I'll stay in the suburbs because I want to live near my family. I have family that l...
