After all, it is written in the stars

Our second day in Apollo Bay began with a sleep in and short walk to a cafe. I enjoyed a cream cheese and smoked salmon bagel for breakfast - yum! Then my family and I went for a beach walk and later walked up a steep hill to a lookout. The beach looked beautiful from above. My mum and I spotted a garage sale sign and I bought handmade wool and alpaca fingerless gloves for $5. At a market by the beach, I found a bar of olive oil soap for $7, my new favourite thing to wash my face with. Have you tried olive oil soap before? For lunch, we had pies from a bakery. I had a scallop pie with actual scallop pieces in it, well worth the $15. Next we wandered through an art gallery. Don't they always make you want to take up painting? I enjoyed wearing my purple floral maxi dress and it looked nice against a wall of red leaves. On an afternoon beach walk, I found two love heart rocks. For dinner, we returned to Apollo Bay Seafood Cafe and I really enjoyed the lobster roll! I've never had...

Hold me close to your heart, however distant, don't keep us apart

On Good Friday, my family and I drove to Apollo Bay for a three day holiday. It took about 2.5 hours to get there and lots of windy roads which left me car sick.  When we arrived we took in the beach views and browsed the strip of shops. Amazingly, I found a sterling silver Tiffany and Co double heart pendant and necklace at an opshop and I'm so excited to sell it on my eBay store.   We had some Thai food for lunch. I had a chicken broth soup, it was okay but not amazing. Then we strolled on the beautiful beach and took in the scenery. In the afternoon I read Liza Minelli's autobiography that I borrowed from the library and then had a nap.  For dinner, we ate at Apollo Bay Seafood Cafe. My sister and I shared a plate of mussels and a chicken souvlaki. It was nice. Before going to bed, I made a mental note to return and try the lobster roll.  Walking back to the seaside apartment, we marvelled at the beautiful full moon. Title : Woman by John Lennon. Though it's hard for us to whisper 'buona sera' with that old moon above the Mediterranean sea

Nestled amidst the rolling hills just north of Daylesford lies the enchanting Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm, a truly picturesque estate that fuses European-charm with rustic Australian countryside. M y sister, mum and I were delighted to spend the day there for an Italian Festival. As we wandered through the grounds, we admired lush gardens, olive groves, rows of lavender, a stone farmhouse and a barn. We enjoyed roaming at our own pace, spotting a gorgeous cat, some cows, emus and even alpacas. It’s a stunning place where every corner offers something lovely to admire. We walked up a steep hill to the very top to take a photo with a Jesus statue. Italian music wafted in the air and inspired a Italian singalong on the way home. A beautiful day to remember.
