Honey, honey how you thrill me

A little while ago, my mum and I visited the Convent restaurant in Daylesford. It's an old convent that has been converted into an art gallery and cute little place to eat. It's surrounded by such pretty gardens.

I had a bit of a giggle as my mum brought some water to our table and slipped on these pebbles. Luckily she was fine and we had a good laugh.

We enjoyed our time sitting at a table under a tree, chatting about all sorts of things and enjoying our spaghetti with prawns.

Outfit details:

Coat, vintage basket bag, boots and sunglasses: Market finds.

Satin skirt and turtleneck: Retail finds.

We were surprised to spot a sign saying 'Sailor's Falls' as we drove around. After all these years visiting Daylesford, we never realised it had a waterfall! It reminded us that even though we love revisiting our favourite little spots, it's nice to discover new places.

Sunshine and nature, isn't it so good for our souls? I remember a uni lecturer dismissing meditation in the form of sitting still and trying to get all thoughts out of your head and instead encouraging us to get outside and go for a walk as a better way to meditate. I tend to agree with her. What do you think?

It wouldn't be a day out to Daylesford without a stop at the honey stall. We bought some red ironbark honey, they have a nice variety of flavours at this stall.

Hope you've had a chance to enjoy some time outdoors today! What have you been up to?

  1. Lovely photos of you and your mum and a magical location, too. It's raining torrentially here today. I've been harvesting some rhubarb in the garden wearing a plastic mac and wellies, that's all the time I want to spend outdoors today! xxx

  2. What a delightful place, and how wonderful to discover it has a waterfall.
And now I'm craving a plate of spaghetti with prawns!
Loving both your and your Mum's outfits. That dress of hers is simply magnificent! xxx
