It just takes some time, little girl, you're in the middle of the ride

 

House hunting... it's a lot of work! Looking at real estate listings every day, going to inspections every weekend, putting in offers, making bids at auctions. Homes are very expensive at the moment!

It's an exciting time, making you're own space and envisioning yourself in your very own home. Recently I inspected a home by a little lake but it wasn't quite for me. I did have a lovely stroll in the sunshine though and admired these yellow wattle flowers. So pretty, growing in many places across Australia.

Some other things that have been happening lately...

I made my own Turkish Delight!

The gorgeous trees at my work are always a delight to look at.

Something I enjoy eating once in a while... smoke salmon and cream cheese on toast. Also my favourite... Krisy Kreme donuts.


A gorgeous pot of flowers I brought from Bunnings. I'm going to keep the bulbs and replant them next year.


A trip to the beach on a sunny day.

    Good luck with your househunting! I think I bought the first house I saw, not because i loved it bit it was in the right location and at a price I could afford (in 1991 the interest rate was 18.5%!)

It's no use pretending 'cause I understand

 Anyone fancy tagging along to lunch and a show? A little while ago, my sister, mum and I went into the city to watch the Shirley Valentine theatre show. Shirley Valentine is a classic movie from 1989 about a 42 year old woman who goes on a trip with her friend to Greece to escape her monotonous lifestyle and she discovers new adventure and independence. It is a funny and moving film that my mum, sister and I have watched many times over the years. Hence we were curious what the theatre show would be like. At the Athenaeum Theatre, Natalie Bassingthwaighte did an amazing job in the one woman show. For the show, my mum and I accidentally ended up both wearing floral dresses, which funnily enough perfectly matched the theme of the show. I also wore my giant butterfly clip in my hair. For lunch, my sister and I both ordered the same thing - bao buns. It was okay but not that nice. The fried zucchini flower salad was a bit more interesting. Before the day was finished, we browse...

Run and tell all of the angels, this could take all night

Earlier in the year, my family and I visited a strawberry farm in Bacchus Marsh. My sister and I love visiting fruit farms and being able to pick our own fruit! The strawberries were much sweeter and tastier than the bland ones usually found in supermarkets. I was delighted to buy some apples too. They had no wax on which is basically unheard of these days. Next we visited a beautiful, old church. I love how the arches are reminiscent of Noah's Ark. Even the door is purposely designed and ornate. We ended the day with some waffles I made from scratch and ate many more strawberries. Title : Dear Boy by Paul & Linda McCartney.
