This is walking through a wildfire, this is learning how to live and not just stay alive
There’s something uniquely peaceful about going to the beach in winter, when the frosty air bites at your cheeks and the usual summer crowds are nowhere to be found. The ocean seems quieter, its waves rolling in with a gentle but persistent rhythm. The sharp, crisp breeze tugs at your coat as you walk along the shore, the salty scent of the sea mixing with the freshness of the cold air. The beach, stripped of its summer energy, takes on a serene, almost otherworldly quality—made even better by two black swans slowly floating on the water in the distance.
You know I absolutely love the beach, it is probably my favourite place on Earth, besides home and my grandparents' homes. On this particular day, my mum and I decided to visit Altona beach, 25 minutes away from home.
We rugged up in our big, fluffy Afghan coats. In a recent post, I shared some photos of me trying on several Tree of Life coats, and as soon as there was a 50% off sale, I purchased this sunflower coat! It'll be my last hurrah as I won't be buying anything unnecessary for a while, I have some big things to pay for very soon.
