Quiet thoughts come floating down and settle softly to the ground
Life lately...
Recently I have been making homemade pasta about once a week. I have fond memories of making gnocchi and fresh pasta with my nonna, sister and cousins when we were growing up and it makes me happy to still make pasta.
My family and I have been missing my nonna incredibly. When we visited her every day in the nursing home towards the end of her life, there were so many times when we marvelled at rainbows outside her window. Now when I see a rainbow, it makes me shed a tear and think of her.
I also recently celebrated my friend Jessie's bridal shower. I loved her Italian, lemon theme and complimented her on her gorgeous lemon vase. She kindly told me that they were on sale at a store called Pillow Talk, and I said that I would love to get one too.
I got it when I went shopping with my boyfriend and here it is in my room.
I've visited shopping centres a few times and am thrilled to see Christmas decorations are out so early. This bookstore was a nice, peaceful place away from the loud music that seems to be played in other stores.
I was thrilled to find this black hat from Sportsgirl that was on sale for only $6.35, as well as this cookie jar of the Grinch in Kmart.
On this particular day, I went out to Brunetti with my mum where we had pasta for lunch. We were so hungry that we forgot to take food photos but she had the handmade pasta with seafood and I had spaghettti bolognese. I wore this Tree of Life black, cotton, floral dress that I'd found eBay. I quite like it paired with my tan belt and vintage basket bag.
Aren't these bluebells and lavender just gorgeous? One time, I complimented my dedo on the blue bells in his garden and he immediately pulled some out for me to plant at home, and here they are! Thank you dedo.
What have you been up to lately?

That rainbow is beautiful as are the blooms in your garden. I love your lemon vase and your dark floral dress is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI ignore Xmas until 24th December! x
Love your black floral dress, belt and basket, and that lemon vase is stunning. I can't blame you for wanting one of your own. Your pasta dish looks delicious, and I love how you continue the tradition of making pasta, which will forever connect you to your nonna! xxx
