Don't change for you, don't change a thing for me

The highlight of our next day on holiday was going to a fancy place for lunch, the Merimbula Aquarium restaurant. My sister, mum and I all had the same thing - seafood linguine, whilst my dad had a Cajun chicken burger. It was sunny and warm, but not too hot so I wore my  Tree of Life  cotton, hand block dress which was light and airy.  I only packed one pair of tan sandals and luckily they go with everything. After lunch we went for una passiagiata , a nice stroll down the board walk. Around every corner was a beautiful sea view. I felt such inner peace and marvelled that this must be the feeling of being in heaven.   In the afternoon, I enjoyed a mint and chocolate icecream by the beach, this one's from Aldi. Then I put together a picnic dinner: cheese, crackers, smoked salmon, dip, berries, beetroot, pickles and the star of the show - two dozen oysters that I bought for us. What would your ideal picnic include? X Title : Don't Change by INXS.

Send me an angel right now

Day 4 of our beach holiday began with a beach walk where I found a pretty angel ornament. Sometimes there are wonderful signs all around us. My family and I drove into Eden and walked by the water. I loved this Christmas tree made of branches in an information centre and am inspired to make one of my own. We had some salty potato cakes and walked on the pier.  This beach has massive waves and is definitely a surf beach. At the local cemetery, I marvelled at the headstones of people who lived in the 1800s! Aren't they so much more beautiful than modern ones? It was quite chilly so I wore my wool jumper over my leopard summer dress. I found the wool jumper for $5 at a market and am so glad I bought it. Looking for sharks! Might as well jump, go ahead and jump

Another holiday morning began with yoghurt and fruit by the beach.  My family and I ventured into nearby coastal towns Pambula and Merimbula, browsing the shops. I found a natural beeswax skin ointment that has inspired me to make my own. For lunch, we had Chinese food at the trusty RSL. It was quite cold so I wore boots and tights in summer, can you believe it? Nevertheless we're at the beach - yay! Jumping for joy! For dinner, we had oysters, prawns and a cream cheese and salmon bagel by the beach. Seafood by the beach - splendid. X Title : Jump by Van Halen
