As we live a life of ease, every one of us has all we need

Day 1 of our beach holiday began early at 5.20am. We headed off for the long drive to Eden and stopped off at McDonald's for breakfast, we only ever go there once a year. We bought some cherries along the way and did some grocery shopping when we arrived eight hours later. In the afternoon, I put on my maroon bathers and walked along the shoreline of the beach, admiring the blue water. With a shucker tool, I shucked 14 little oysters! I continued my walk and found a red rock shaped as a heart, I love when that happens.  Stopping by the painted fish wall, I posed for my annual smooch-y photo. It's so funny to see the pictures over the years. The next day began with some cherries, blueberries and walnuts with yoghurt and more beach walks.  A delicious roast ham, potato salad, honey carrots and a green salad followed for lunch. My mum always outdoes herself. A beautiful beginning to our holiday. More to come next week. X Title : Yellow Submarine by The Beatles.

And we lived beneath the waves, in our yellow submarine

A beautiful day at the beach began with the sun beaming gently over the coastline, casting a golden shimmer across the clear, turquoise waves. A soft breeze rustled, as my mum and I walked across the pier. Everywhere we looked, people were happily strolling around, chatting and having a little giggle in the sunshine. Walking along the wooden pier, I enjoyed wearing my white, cotton dress. My yellow sandals added a pop of colour and coincidently matched a yellow boat, which reminded me of a yellow submarine. For lunch, we stopped at a small seaside restaurant, enjoyed the sparkling view and I ate a bowl of mussels in spicy, tomato sauce topped with a toasted piece of bread. One day, I'd love to buy a little beach holiday home, even if it's a tiny place, I'd never get tired of going to the beach! What's your dream place for a holiday home? X

Staring slowly across the sky, said goodbye

This vintage, embroidered, raffia bag is the sort of vintage treasure I have dreamt about for years. I don't often come across them, but a little while ago, I found this one in an op-shop in beachy Williamstown. My eyes must've popped out of my head and I couldn't hand over my $8 quick enough. I had to make it the star of my outfit with my cream, crochet dress and orange sandals. What's the latest treasure you've found? In other news, here's some treasures from my everyday life. Beautiful flowers... Making homemade pasta...  Growing my own sunflowers...  Visiting my childhood church... Enjoying a tomato relish I bought at a farmer's market... Radiant sunsets.  Recently, I've also been looking at the sky every night. I like looking at the stars and moon and I read that it gives you peace of mind and a sense of how small our problems are in this huge, vast world. What have you been up to lately? I looked into the eyes of eternity

This is the perfect beach dress. Turquoise blue, with little details of shells and seahorses. I loved wearing it for a day in the sunshine. My mum and I love revisiting Williamstown beach and go there often. We strolled along the Botanical Gardens where we have enjoyed Christmas picnics and days out in the past. This big, black, iron gate proved to be a perfect backdrop for a photo. We always visit our favourite icecream shop Will's Batch . This time I got a scoop of matcha and cherry and coconut ice-cream. Perfection! On the way home, we popped into a Vinnies opshop and I spotted a gorgeous raffia bag. From memory, it only set me back $8. I've been looking for one of these raffia floral bags for years! The beach is my happy place - a peaceful and beautiful place where the gentle sound of waves meet the shore and create a soothing rhythm that calms my mind. The vast expanse of ocean stretching to the horizon offers a sense of freedom and tranquility. Sunlight dances on the wa...
