It's just another day

  Another day out in Daylesford began with a walk around Lake Jubilee. It's so pretty and peaceful there, I love looking out to the water. There were some beautiful purple flowers and yellow wattle out in bloom, brightening up a grey day. For the occasion, I wore a rust coloured turtleneck and velvet skirt with tan leather boots and bag to match. Over the top, I threw on my gorgeous poncho. This duck was so adorable sleeping under a tree. For lunch, we returned to our old, trusty favourite The Convent . I tried something different for once and had a homemade beef pie with mash potato and vegetables. It was delicious! This gorgeous painting hung above my head. Doesn't it evoke a giggle or smile? The final highlight of the day was visiting this daffodil field on a side road.  Across the day, I happily picked some flowers and here is what I headed home with. Lately, you look around, you're wondering what you're seeing

  What do you think of my $10 op-shop find? It’s red, cozy and a turtleneck—perfect for winter. Feels like it was made for me. I couldn’t resist capturing these gorgeous pink blossoms before the wind carries them away. They have a sweet scent — reminiscent of orange blossom. I may or may not have taken a small branch home to place in a vase by my bedside.  I've decided that my favourite hobby is going walks and picking flowers. What's yours? Some other things I've been up to lately... I made sweet potato gnocchi. It had a nice, slightly sweet flavour and beautiful, orange colour. I've been making my own dumplings about once every two weeks and I keep a big bag of them in the freezer when I want a quick meal. This zucchini pasta was so delicious! Funnily enough, I learnt the recipe from Instagram. It has pan fried zucchinis that are put into a food processor with cheese and other ingredients and some slices of zucchini are placed on top.
