She's the lady who wears those flashing eyes

Recently, I've been loving the colour pink. I think it may be because I've been seeing so many reels of cute, pink kitchens on Instagram or perhaps it's because I've been adoring my pink, strawberry jug I shared on my blog recently . Regardless, I've never really paid much attention to the colour pink until recently. I was determined to find a pink dress and luckily I didn't have to look far because I found this pink and red dress at the next opshop I visited, Savers. A bit pricey for opshops ($15.80), but I was happy to purchase this dress because it's beautiful and Sportsgirl sell their dresses for $80+ in their stores.     I had to take my new-to-me dress out for a twirl on a day out to Daylesford with my mum. She wanted to visit the lavender farm again whilst the purple delights were still in bloom.           The scent of lavendar was wonderful. I keep a bag of dried lavender by my bed, it's supposed to help you fall asleep.   ...

The Wild Horse Runs Free Forever

Last Sunday, my family and I had a lovely day celebrating Mother's Day. As soon as I woke up, I made my mum some profiteroles as she requested. Does the best daughter of the year award go to me? Haha! Then I made breakfast using some leftovers, it was delicious!   We struggled to book a restaurant for lunch as everywhere we rang was booked, so we decided to drive to Arundel Farm Estate to see if they had any vacancies. They were fully booked too but at least the horses were happy to see us!   We drove down to Keilor Pub and there was a table available for us to have lunch, hooray! I enjoyed my steak sandwich, my dad liked his calamari with chips, my sister enjoyed her mussels in spicy tomato sauce and my mum ordered a fillet of barramundi with vegetables.       Do you like my new Kmart dress? I liked adding the orange and red accessories - block heel boots, a coral pendant and bangle with my vintage leather, tooled bag.     After lunch, we po...

Mama, you've been on my mind

Recently, my mum and I went to the Yarra Valley to have a day out at a winery. After a one hour drive, we spotted rolling hills, autumnal leaves and pretty sights at every turn. The air was crisp and chilly, so I wore my mum's Afghan coat. Isn't it fab! My gingham dress with shirring detail was a Kmart find and my vintage bag was found at a market. We stopped at the Balgownie winery estate for lunch and I enjoyed the salmon and triple cooked chips with parmesan aioli chips. Tiny and fancy, but delicious! Sometimes it's nice to visit fancy places. Next time we'd like to visit  the De Bortoli Winery. It was closed on the day we visited but we loved the gardens.         A day out wouldn't be complete without a visit to an opshop. I found these adorable Christmas mugs for $3 each and was so excited to add them to my collection. I've since made it into a candle!       We ended the day by helping my sister transport some large drums for a wor...
