Time makes you bolder, even children get older and I'm getting older too

A post of old photos I found from 2021... These photos were taken at Geelong Beach on a cold day. I wore my patchwork leather skirt which I remember being delighted at finding in an opshop. This Afghan style coat was a favourite of mine and I used to wear it all the time.  My mum and I explored the botanic gardens and strolled along the beach, enjoyed seafood pasta for lunch, rode a beautiful yellow carousel and a towering ferris wheel, and even took a train ride! I’m amazed we fit it all into one day! I love how silly and sassy I was in these photos. At times, gazing up at towering trees or the vastness of the stars makes us acutely aware of just how small we are. It's a reminder to enjoy life and not take it so seriously. On our sixth and final day in Tasmania, my family and I woke up early to drive up Mount Wellington and enjoy the view before the clouds descended. It was surrounded by clouds and mirrors, a vision of heaven. Outside of MONA, my sister enjoyed bouncing on the giant trampoline. Lastly, we squeezed in a short visit to the Botanical Gardens where we admired the lotus pond. Then we returned our hire car and went to the airport. I was very nervous to be in a plane again and practically kissed the ground when we safely arr...

Last Tuesday, I had a lovely day out to the country. It started with an obligatory visit to the vintage market, where I found quite a few vintage treasures - some vintage plates, an orange Mexican bag and beaded sandals made in Italy.  It was a day of finds!  I've neglected to take photos of them but they'll appear in a blog post at some point. I was glad that the market wasn't too busy so it was easy to social distance. After a quick stop at the fish and chip shop for a souvlaki (yum!),  I noticed a botanical garden which I'd never visited before. It was so cold but that didn't stop me from strolling through the gorgeous forest.  Tiptoeing down the hill was hilarious! Sure, I love these suede boots but they have absolutely no grip on the sole!  I was unable to stop myself from sliding down the hill, laughing and squalling - it was so funny!  When I found these unworn Trenery boots for $5 at a secondh...
