Where you lead, I will follow

Image
Hi there! Just wanted to write a quick blog post and share a cute autumnal outfit. I purchased this snake print jacket from Zara years ago and found the matching skirt on eBay! A lucky find! It's getting cold here in Melbourne so I paired it with a maroon turtleneck.  I love how my outfit sort of matched the beautiful autumn leaves. Life is good lately. I've been busy writing semester 1 reports and soon I'll have 2 weeks of holidays!  My sister and I have also been watching Gilmore Girls. It's my new (old) favourite show, I love coming home from work to watch a couple of episodes. I so look forward to weekends where I relax and spend time with my boyfriend and family. What have you been up to lately? X Title : Where You Lead by Carole King.

My mum and I hadn't been to our beloved Daylesford in about 6 months and since we'd also run out of honey (which we buy from in a little stall there), we recently had a perfect excuse to return. Even though it's only Autumn here in Australia, it was so freezing cold, that even my big, fluffy Afghan coat couldn't keep me warm! Nevermind, we still ventured out to taste-test and purchase some delicious Red Mallee honey and then admire the beautiful Jubilee Lake.  Our favourite Daylesford restaurant The Convent was closed for the day so we returned to The Virgin Kitchen , another place we have enjoyed eating at once before. My mum and I both loved the steak sandwich with cheese, onions, lettuce and spicy sauce. Delicious and it warmed us up on a cold day! After lunch, we hurried home to our gorgeous foster kitten Henry. We don't like to leave him home alone for too long. He has two moods:  1. Cheekily scratching and biting us. 2. Sleepy and cuddly. I prefer the latter!

Suddenly 30

Last week, I turned 30, can you believe it? Milestone birthdays can be scary, but looking back on photos of little me brought joy to my day and made me feel grateful for all the good things in my life.  Judging from the photos, I haven't stopped dressing up since I was little. Thanks mum for dressing me in cute outfits!  The day prior to my birthday, my cute boyfriend took me out to dinner at my favourite local Italian place. I forgot to take photos of the food, but we often order the same thing: pizza and a caprese salad, so here's a photo from a previous visit. It's so delicious, I could happily visit once a week and never get tired of it. He also surprised me with some flowers. Aren't they beautiful? I have been adoring them all week. I had a flexi day on my actual birthday, I'm glad schools now let teachers choose one day a year to have a day off and it comes out of our sick leave. I spent the day shopping a little bit with my mum and picking up the Francese cak
