Simply the best

My favourite outfits of 2023! Dressing up is so fun to me. And I find dresses, coats, boots, sandals, vintage bags, a nice necklace and sunglasses are my go-to items to wear. Thanks so much for visiting my blog this year. See you in 2024. Which outfit is your favourite? X   Title :  Simply the Best  by Tina Turner.

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope your end of the year is filled with loved ones, yummy food, joy and relaxation.   Recently I was shopping with my mum and I tried on this red, cotton dress. My mum had tried it on a few weeks earlier and I said, "Why don't we both buy one?!"  Hence, a twinning/matchy-matchy moment was created when we went with my family to see some Christmas lights. You may remember our first  twinning moment  from earlier in the year. It's all a bit of fun and we have a laugh about it! Merry merry Christmas to you, thank you for visiting my blog this year and I'll see you in the new year. X Title : Away in a Manger.

Have you been window shopping this holiday season? There are so many adorable things to see and marvel at!  A little while ago, my boyfriend and I browsed a shopping centre, looking at lots of Christmas items.  I took photos of everything I liked so I could go back closer to Christmas and see if anything was marked down on special. I absolutely adore these Beauty and The Beast ornaments. If they aren't marked down, I will have to just close my eyes and purchase them! There's a Christmas movie called Beauty and The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas and it's a movie I return to year after year.  I don't have any room for these mugs but they will also have to come home with me, evenutally! The below items were from Harris Scarfe...  I purchased these mugs on special for $7 each, not too bad. They're smaller than my other mugs but very cute. I'll finish this blog post with an outfit photo taken on December 1st, the first day of summer in Melbourne. Would you bel...

Thank God it's Christmas!

I absolutely love Christmas! For me, it's one of the happiest times of the year. I love the traditions - decorating a tree, wrapping presents, eating panettone, watching Christmas movies, enjoying warm drinks in m y Christmas mugs and lighting my Christmas candles. My mum always had wonderful Christmas parties in the backyard when I was growing up and I love catching up with those same family and friends each year . Let me share my cute, little golden Christmas tree with you... It's covered in all my favourite ornaments...  These boots are made for walking! Bambi and a carosel! How could I resist the Powerpuff girls, Bugs Bunny and Tweety purchased from Typo last year.  This year, I read How the Grinch Stole Christmas to my students and we absolutely loved it! So these Grinch decorations, also from Typo, had to join the tree this year. Because I am crazy about Christmas, I also collect Christmas salt and pepper shakers. Each year, I buy one or two sets, hence my collection h...

If things go wrong, we can knock it down

A perfect weekend for me includes a visit to the market with my mum. Lately, I've been "window shopping" and not coming home with any treasures. I think that is perfectly okay because I have so many lovely clothes and things at home that something needs to be really special now before I buy it. I did spot this giant Pinocchio for $120 though! It's so cute. I've spotted a few wooden Pinocchios over the past year:  here  and  here . My ideal weekend also include spending time with my family and boyfriend. My boyfriend and I made a parrot to add to his Lego collection. He is so easy to buy presents for. All I need to decide is which Lego to buy! We went for a picnic at the Tea Gardens and enjoyed some brie, guacamole, crackers, marinated peppers, salami, olives, carrots, blueberries, grapes and chocolate. We were too busy eating and chatting, I forgot to take photos of the food!  We had a nice view of the river and then went for a walk as the sun set. He picked me ...
