Beach baby, beach baby, give me your hand

A day by the beach, what could be better? One sunny day on my work holidays, my mum and I visited Geelong beach.

First we popped into the Vintage Mills Market. Looks at these vintage treasures...

Next we strolled by the beach.


 Passing the carousal, we couldn't resist having some childlike fun.









The Carousel's website says: "The Armitage-Herschell portable steam driven, hand-carved wooden carousel was constructed circa 1892 and is one of only 200 in operation around the world.  Featuring 36 Dare horses and 2 chariots, it was purchased by the Steampacket Place Development Board in 1996 and painstakingly restored."


The view from the carosaul centre is beautiful.

For lunch, we ate at a lovely restaurant by the beach called Fisherman's Pier. We love returning to enjoy the seafood linguini - delicious! The four beach ladies waved us goodbye as we made our way back to our car.

    That dress is so pretty on you, Jess, I love it!
    My minds boggling over the prices of the Guinness toucans and the Wade ducks, vintage homewares are way more expensive downunder than they are here.
    That cupboard of Mid-century art glass looks like a photo taken in my house! xxx

    A browse in a vintage shop, followed by a stroll along the beach: that sounds like my kind of fun day! Loving the photo of you in your dream of a dress on the carousel, and I'm swooning over the colourful mid-century glass at Vintage Mills Market! xxx

    We had a couple of those tall skinny blue studded glass decorations on either side of our fireplace in the house I grew up in - they eventually overheated from fires and broke. So good to see them!

    Love your pretty dress and what a backdrop - that carousel is amazing. Lovely beach pics, Jess!

  A little while ago, my mum, sister and I had lunch at one of our favourite places in the city, Conservatory. It's an all you can eat restaurant with a wide variety of food. She's the lady who wears those flashing eyes

    Recently, I've been loving the colour pink. I think it may be because I've been seeing so many reels of cute, pink kitchens on Instagram or perhaps it's because I've been adoring my pink, strawberry jug I shared on my blog recently . Regardless, I've never really paid much attention to the colour pink until recently. I was determined to find a pink dress and luckily I didn't have to look far because I found this pink and red dress at the next opshop I visited, Savers. A bit pricey for opshops ($15.80), but I was happy to purchase this dress because it's beautiful and Sportsgirl sell their dresses for $80+ in their stores.     I had to take my new-to-me dress out for a twirl on a day out to Daylesford with my mum.
