Promised you a miracle
Where do you buy your clothing from? Opshops? Online shops? Retail stores?
For a while, I hadn't been buying much clothing as my wardrobe is absolutely full! From time to time, I sell pieces from my wardrobe on eBay to slowly thin out my collection.
Although recently I fell into an eBay rabbit hole and have purchased quite a few nice dresses. I bought this Tree Of Life dress on eBay after admiring the exact same one my mum has. I tried on her dress, so knew which size to buy. It popped up immediately when I looked it up online, and for less than $30 including postage, it was mine!
Leopard is always fabulous, I think. I enjoyed wearing it for a get-together with family friends at my uncle Arthur's house a little while ago.
This cotton, brown and cream kaftan was also from Tree of Life. I wore it recently when going to see Simple Minds play at the Red Hot Summer Tour. And boy was it hot, at 35°C we were so sweaty, people were fainting around us. Luckily we sat under a tree, constantly sprayed ourselves with water, so much so that my collarbones look marvellously shiny! Sometimes feeling like a sweaty hot mess works in your favour!
Anyway, after washing this dress and listing it oneBay, it sold. I hope whoever bought this dress is making lovely memories in it. It is light and airy and perfect for summer, as I found out.
I'm off to list some clothes on eBay. What are you up to today?

I'm buying my clothes almost exclusively second-hand ... and my wardrobe is definitely beyond full to bursting :-) Loving the leopard print dress and that handbag you're carrying! xxx
ReplyDeleteMe too! I'm slowly selling things on eBay. Can't hoard everything! X
DeleteYou and your mum look very cool despite the sizzling temperatures.
ReplyDeleteMy wardrobe is mostly second-hand but I like to support small ethical businesses and occasionally buy clothes from them, too! xxx
A fun and fabulous way to shop. X
DeleteHi. Found your blog via Vintage Vix's. Love the dresses. You look great. I tend to live in jeans or leggings, but a maxi dress is an elegant alternative. Most of my clothing's secondhand now. Charity shops or ebay. I rarely pay full price in a regular clothes shop anymore when so much quality stuff is available for a fraction of the original cost. No point in being snobby about these things when there're bargains to be had!!! Best wishes, Val
