When you're on a golden sea, you don't need no memory

 A day in Daylesford. Ahh it makes my heart so happy! Mum and I return to this beautiful country town every few months when I have work holidays. So recently, we visited The Convent restaurant for lunch but first we walked around the lake.     The sun sparkled on the water.   This pier would be such a nice spot for a little picnic.     I found some daisies and delighted in threading them onto my bag.    A peaceful stroll around the lake brought on our appetite and we were ready to eat lunch. Mum enjoyed her homemade pie with mash potato and long green beans and I loved my burger with pineapple, beetroot and a side of the most crunchy chips with a fluffy inside!     The garden in front of The Convent is so beautiful. Thought of your future with one foot in the past, now just how long will it last?

 Last week, we got a day off on Thursday, as a national day of mourning for Queen Elizabeth II. It didn't make a difference to me as I was already on work holidays, but it's great that others got a day off.   My family and I decided to make the most of the day by going to the Tesselaar Tulip Festival in Silvan. It's quite a long drive to get there, and it seems everyone else had the same idea to go aswell. We waited in the traffic for what felt like a couple of hours. Luckily we'd packed a picnic lunch and ended up eating our rolls and leftover KFC in the car! My sister also spotted a stand where apples were being sold so we enjoyed some green, sour apples too. Finally, we got fed up with the long line of cars trying to get into the carpark so we made a u-turn and found somewhere else to visit for the day.
