When you're on a golden sea, you don't need no memory

 A day in Daylesford. Ahh it makes my heart so happy! Mum and I return to this beautiful country town every few months when I have work holidays. So recently, we visited The Convent restaurant for lunch but first we walked around the lake.

 

 

The sun sparkled on the water.

 

This pier would be such a nice spot for a little picnic.

  


I found some daisies and delighted in threading them onto my bag. 



 

A peaceful stroll around the lake brought on our appetite and we were ready to eat lunch. Mum enjoyed her homemade pie with mash potato and long green beans and I loved my burger with pineapple, beetroot and a side of the most crunchy chips with a fluffy inside!

 
 
The garden in front of The Convent is so beautiful. I particularly loved the daffodils and these purple flowers.
 
 
 

 
 
 
 
 
Before we knew it, it was time to return home. It was a lovely day and I can't wait to return next (Christmas) holidays.

    We call them Grape Hyacinth, a sure sign that Spring's on her way!
    What a lovely place for a trip out, I love revisiting spots like this and seeing how the season's change. xxx

    What a lovely outing! Your handbag is a stunner, and I love how you added those daisies. As Vix already mentioned, the blue flowers are Grape Hyacinths (Muscari). Aren't they a wonderful sight combined with those Daffs? xxx

Earlier in the year, my family and I visited a strawberry farm in Bacchus Marsh. My sister and I love visiting fruit farms and being able to pick our own fruit! The strawberries were much sweeter and tastier than the bland ones usually found in supermarkets. I was delighted to buy some apples too. They had no wax on which is basically unheard of these days. Next we visited a beautiful, old church. I love how the arches are reminiscent of Noah's Ark. Even the door is purposely designed and ornate. Volare oh, oh, Cantare oh, oh

After 11 weeks of term 2, preparing reports and completing parent-teacher interviews, I farewelled my grade 2 students, and began my two weeks of holidays. I was looking forward to spending time with my family and grandparents, as well as squeezing in some day trips. My mum and I returned to our favourite place, Daylesford. It was a cold, winter's day so we rugged up in big coats which kept us surprisingly toasty. I wore my tartan coat that I recently bought at a market. I had been looking for a big, long coat for some time as well as watching Gilmore Girls and admiring all of the beautiful coats worn on the show. So when I found this brand new coat, I was happy to hand over my $25. At Daylesford, we first roamed the Vintage Mills Market. It's always fun to have a look at the unique items. For who knows when we'll meet again this way

The end of our Eden holiday concluded with some time at the beach and a yummy BBQ - vegetables, sausages, onions and salmon.  It's always hard to say goodbye to the beautiful ocean, so I savored the last moments looking out at the water and thinking of all the things I'm grateful for. For the long drive home back to Melbourne, I wore my comfortable Mexican, embroidered dress. A few years ago, I found quite a few Mexican dresses, but haven't come across one in a very long time. I'd love one in red, wouldn't that look fantastic? On the drive, I visited this church that was hosting an art fair and admired this green home! Since returning home, I've done a lot of cooking. Here is a plate of my homemade sausage rolls and long green beans with nuts. I've also gone for some nice walks, sometimes picking flowers along the way. What have you been up to lately?
