Not A Second Time...

Hello! I'm back! The first week back at work flew by, so I imagine the next 9 weeks of term 3 will pass quickly too and then I'll be back on holidays again, as I recently was. On my holidays, my mum and I went to the Conservatory in the city, near Crown. It's an all-you-can-eat fancy buffet with seafood and yummy food galore.

I really enjoyed the oysters, prawns, smoked salmon and pickled ginger. Look at all the delicious food we ate. I wasn't that fond of the desserts but everything else was amazing.

Mum and I walked around the Crown area, the grand marble staircase, the water fountain. I admired the changing coloured lights on the ceiling, the large horse painting (of course I had to take a photo in front of it!), the posh bathroom and the fluro coloured casinos. I imagined Las Vegas looks exactly like this.

After lunch, mum and I decided to go for a walk by the river to digest all the food we'd eaten. Once we got our vitamin D fix, we called it a day and returned home.

And then not long after, I found out I had COVID for the second time this year - can you believe it? So I had to spend my last week of holidays isolating. Luckily I wasn't as sick as I was the first time I got COVID, my boyfriend was a lot more sick than I was. Thankfuly we are both back to normal now.

See you in my next blog post.

  1. Oh no Jess, hope you're feeling better. Covid is doing the rounds again here too. Kids break up for summer hols in one week and we have a heatwave in the UK (I still have to work though :0 ) The food all looks absolutely scrumptious :) x

  2. Oh my doesn't that food look absolutely delicious!
I'm sorry to hear you got Covid a second time, though, but it's a good thing you weren't too sick this time. Our cases are increasing too, will it ever end I wonder? xxx

  3. Oh no, that totally sucks that you got Covid again, Jess! Good thing you and your mum had such a lovely day together - at least something to remember when you were isolating. I've been lucky - have not had it yet!
