Thunderstruck

Hello! How was your weekend?

On Friday night, I had not one, but two birthday parties to go to- my twin cousins' 21st and a family friend's 18th! It was all too much for an introvert like me. Nevertheless, it was nice to see some relatives, family friends and have a fun time dancing. On Saturday, we went to visit the twins and their family for a barbeque, it's nice to catch up once in a while as we don't see each other too often.

It was too rainy to go the market on  Sunday, and we were too tired from all the socialising! It was good to get a sleep in. In the afternoon, when picking my sister up from a theatre rehearsal, my mum and I popped into Savers, an op-shop.

I was beyond excited to find this DVD! My family and I absolutely love this 2004 film. It's about these five guys who have the best night of their lives at an AC/DC concert. After a near-death experience, they  promise each other that when any one of them dies, they are to be buried next to the grave of their idol, AC/DC lead singer Bon Scott. When one of them dies, the four friends go on a hilarious road trip to keep their promise. I can't express how funny the film is, it's such a great Australian movie. My sister and I literally did a happy dance when I showed her my find!

I also purchased two dresses. The blue floral maxi was made in Turkey! I love all things made in Turkey, after finding these embroidered boots in a Turkish shop years ago seen here and here. They make the best things over there! My mum also spotted this emerald green shift dress for me. Mini-dresses and shifts always remind me of Jeannie from I Dream of Jeannie.

  1. I love your Mum's dress on you, it's a beauty.
Your new (to you!) dress looks lovely. A lot of modern clothes are made in Turkey - the markets there are brilliant for bargains. xxx

    1. Ooo I didn't know that. I don't tend to see much Turkish made shoes or clothes in Australia so I get excited when I find something. Xxx
