As we live a life of ease, every one of us has all we need

Day 1 of our beach holiday began early at 5.20am. We headed off for the long drive to Eden and stopped off at McDonald's for breakfast, we only ever go there once a year.

We bought some cherries along the way and did some grocery shopping when we arrived eight hours later.

In the afternoon, I put on my maroon bathers and walked along the shoreline of the beach, admiring the blue water. With a shucker tool, I shucked 14 little oysters! I continued my walk and found a red rock shaped as a heart, I love when that happens.

Stopping by the painted fish wall, I posed for my annual smooch-y photo. It's so funny to see the pictures over the years.

The next day began with some cherries, blueberries and walnuts with yoghurt and more beach walks.

A delicious roast ham, potato salad, honey carrots and a green salad followed for lunch. My mum always outdoes herself.

A beautiful beginning to our holiday. More to come next week.
