Lately, you look around, you're wondering what you're seeing

What do you think of my $10 op-shop find? It’s red, cozy and a turtleneck—perfect for winter. Feels like it was made for me.

I couldn’t resist capturing these gorgeous pink blossoms before the wind carries them away. They have a sweet scent — reminiscent of orange blossom. I may or may not have taken a small branch home to place in a vase by my bedside. I've decided that my favourite hobby is going walks and picking flowers. What's yours?

Some other things I've been up to lately...

I made sweet potato gnocchi. It had a nice, slightly sweet flavour and beautiful, orange colour.

I've been making my own dumplings about once every two weeks and I keep a big bag of them in the freezer when I want a quick meal.

This zucchini pasta was so delicious! Funnily enough, I learnt the recipe from Instagram. It has pan fried zucchinis that are put into a food processor with cheese and other ingredients and some slices of zucchini are placed on top.

My family and I went out to Carosello's for dinner to celebrate my sister getting a new job! My sister and I both enjoyed the duck ravioli with sweet potato crisps on top.

A pretty rainbow.

Some gorgeous purple orchards. I'm looking forward to going to Bunnings at some point and buying an orchid pot plant in this vibrant shade.

And my first daffodil of the season! I love growing daffodils each year. Looking at them makes me so happy!

What are you up to today?

  1. That dress looks lovely on you, Jess! The blossom tree is beautiful, something we in the Northern hemisphere associate with the Spring. The sprig looks so pretty in the glass vase.
Some fantastic cooking skills, liking the look of the courgette dish.
Well done to your sister for her new job.
I'm off to have a work out before breakfast, then we're off to deliver our tax returns to the accountant, going to the tip and then go charity shopping, rock and roll! xxx

  2. Your $ 10 op-shop dress is absolutely fabulous, Jess.
I'm also admiring our cookery skills, and those pink blossoms just made my day.
The first of the Daffodils always make me happy too, but we've still got a long wait for them here.
I had to work today, but had coffee and a catch up with my bestie during lunch break! xxx
