Dreaming of Vintage Treasures

A little while ago, my sister organised a night out to visit the Titanic Exhibition in Melbourne with my mum and I. Titanic has always been one of my favourite movies and I have read various books on the ship and story of the Titanic, so I was fascinated to see the pieces that were salvaged from the sinking of the ship. Binoculars The exhibition had a high tea area with gorgeous wallpaper. Of course, I had to wear my replica hair piece like the one Rose wears in Titanic. Steering wheel Barometer Recreated doors Coins Mesh bag and jewellery Glasses Plates with brown and pink freesia design It was amazing to see the intricate, detailed ceiling. I love how the Titanic film recreated the ceiling from the actual ship!  So many people were lined up to take a photo by the stairs so we took some quick snaps then continued through the exhibition. This created iceberg mimicked the temperature of the water on the night of the Titanic's sinking. It demonstrates how freezing the water was. I ...

 Some things that have been giving me joy lately... 1. This cute ladybird that landed on my hand. Thanks for the good luck, ladybird! 2. A delicious dinner my sister cooked. 3. Some flowers I bought for myself. They were on special for $8 and I couldn't resist. The colours were bright and made me smile. 4. These fresh cherries picked on one of my walks around the neighbourhood. I was thrilled to spot a cherry tree growing on a nature strip! 5. Speaking of cherries, my sister surprised my family and I with this delicious cherry pie! It's inspired me to make my own cherry pie one day! 6. Cherry red nails to match the ongoing cherry theme (of course)! 7. Last but not least, going to the movies to watch Wicked . My sister and I kindly received LUX movie tickets for Christmas from my Chico last year and we finally used them to watch the musical Wicked . I absolutely love the Wizard of Oz (as you may have noticed here and here ), but wasn't sure if I'd like the Wicked movie....
