Life can be funny, happy and sunny


 My sister recently bought Sooshi Mango tickets as a present for my mum's birthday. What a great idea! The comedic group consisted of brothers, Joe and Carlo Salanitri, and their best friend, Andrew Manfre and they were so funny! My mum and I were particularly howling with laughter, but so was the whole audience. The show was being filmed and Joe, Carlo and Andrew had a few moments of breaking character and laughing uncontrollably themselves, it was so hilarious!


The line to get into the Palais Theatre was unbelievably long. My family and I entertained ourselves with a walk by the beach and Sunday market, taking photos in front of the giant Luna Park entrance.


 
 
I spotted these unusual mugs at one of the market stalls.

Dress: Kmart. I've bought a few nice dresses from Kmart this year.
Vintage bag, brand new boots, sunglasses: Op-shops and markets.

Earlier in the year, my family and I visited a strawberry farm in Bacchus Marsh. My sister and I love visiting fruit farms and being able to pick our own fruit! The strawberries were much sweeter and tastier than the bland ones usually found in supermarkets. I was delighted to buy some apples too. They had no wax on which is basically unheard of these days. Next we visited a beautiful, old church. I love how the arches are reminiscent of Noah's Ark. Even the door is purposely designed and ornate. Volare oh, oh, Cantare oh, oh

After 11 weeks of term 2, preparing reports and completing parent-teacher interviews, I farewelled my grade 2 students, and began my two weeks of holidays. I was looking forward to spending time with my family and grandparents, as well as squeezing in some day trips. My mum and I returned to our favourite place, Daylesford. It was a cold, winter's day so we rugged up in big coats which kept us surprisingly toasty. I wore my tartan coat that I recently bought at a market. I had been looking for a big, long coat for some time as well as watching Gilmore Girls and admiring all of the beautiful coats worn on the show. So when I found this brand new coat, I was happy to hand over my $25. At Daylesford, we first roamed the Vintage Mills Market. It's always fun to have a look at the unique items. For who knows when we'll meet again this way

The end of our Eden holiday concluded with some time at the beach and a yummy BBQ - vegetables, sausages, onions and salmon.  It's always hard to say goodbye to the beautiful ocean, so I savored the last moments looking out at the water and thinking of all the things I'm grateful for. For the long drive home back to Melbourne, I wore my comfortable Mexican, embroidered dress. A few years ago, I found quite a few Mexican dresses, but haven't come across one in a very long time. I'd love one in red, wouldn't that look fantastic? On the drive, I visited this church that was hosting an art fair and admired this green home! Since returning home, I've done a lot of cooking. Here is a plate of my homemade sausage rolls and long green beans with nuts. I've also gone for some nice walks, sometimes picking flowers along the way. What have you been up to lately?
