Baby, you come knocking on my front door

Hello! Over a year ago, I found a DREAM vintage item but I haven't had a chance to wear until recently. I found an Ossie Clark dress at a secondhand market for $10!!! Can you believe that?! I've wanted one for years but figured for the thousands of dollars they can sell for, and them mostly being sold in the UK, I'd never find a decently priced one in Australia! Of course, I remember the exact moment I found it. I saw the label, pulled out the dress, stared at it for a long time... my body had a physical reaction with my heart beating and time felt as if it stood still. You'd think it was love at first sight or something - very dramatic, I know! The lady selling it wasn't a regular at the market and may not have even known that Ossie Clark pieces are so collectible. She wanted $10 because the hem was crookedly sewn, but to be honest it wasn't noticeable at all when I wore it. I've been waiting for a special occasion to wear this dress and finally did at a r

Let me take you down 'cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields

Earlier in March, my family and I had a nice day out to a Bacchus Marsh strawberry farm. We've visited before and do so most summers. I had just started my first week of work and was happy to get out on a sunny Saturday.  I wore my white 'Seed' dress with big ruffle sleeves, bought at a secondhand market for $10 (a good score as I've heard Seed clothing can be expensive!) I last wore this dress over a year ago when we were surrounded by the bush-fire smoke in NSW. It's good to now associate this dress with a lovely day out picking strawberries. I also wore my op-shopped jelly shoes ($2) vintage belt ($5) and beaded bag ($5), mum's hat and some sunnies ($1). Gosh I'm cheap - my outfit only cost $23! Mum wore her gingham skirt that she made herself. She paired it with a mustard yellow shirt that has a sharp dagger collar. Mum has a thing for collars and I just love her outfit. Perfect for a strawberry field outing. Mum, dad, my sister and I really enjoyed pick

Oh, to think I am still posting photos from my summer holidays! It is now Autumn here in Melbourne but I am so behind in posting. So much so that I had to take a break from blogging for a few weeks. Plus life gets in the way, but I'm back!  On this warm summer's day mum and I had a great day out at Geelong beach. First we went to the vintage Mills Market. I was in more of a browsing mood and was just happy to look. We also went for a walk along the beach. I noticed a big carousal right by the beach and we happily paid $9 each for a ride. It was amazing being up in the air, looking down at the glistening, blue water from above.   For lunch we returned to a favourite Greek restaurant that we've visited before. I had a souvlaki and mum had a moussaka but they must've changed owners or something because the food was disappointing compared to the delicious food we've feasted on in the past. The elderly couples sitting behind me were making us laugh with all their
