Softly as I leave you

A little while ago, my sister, mum and I attended  An Evening with Priscilla Presley  in the city, an event I was looking forward to. We saw her at a similar event in 2017 and I was happy to see her again, this time talking about her new autobiography. We were a bit rushed to squeeze in dinner, but I enjoyed a nice plate of lamb chops by the Yarra River. Just beyond the water, a towering Christmas tree stood bright, evoking seasonal joy. Having read her books and heaps of books on Elvis already, her stories were ones I've heard before but what I really loved was seeing her in person, a few rows from the front. No photography was allowed during the show, so this was the only one I snapped before it commenced. Priscilla Presley was very candid and giggly, regularly making the audience laugh. She spoke of her childhood, film and TV career, animals activism, her famous ex husband, and family. Audience members came away with a feeling that she has been very resilient through...

Someone told me there's a girl out there with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair

Striking a pose in front of pink blossoms always seems like a good idea—until you realize you’re basically standing in a swarm of bees.   You’re trying to give “ethereal woodland fairy,” but you're quietly hoping the bees aren't bothered by your presence and don't want to sting you. You only have a limited amount of time to capture a photo of the blossoms because the wind could blow them away at any moment. Of course I had to wear a bright pink, floral dress to match the blossoms. This is a Tree Of Life dress I found on eBay early this year.  Something else that was pink... a beautiful sunset. Also in the backyard, is an abundance of lemons. When life gives you lemons, make lemon cake and limoncello, I say!  A little while ago, my friend Renee came over for a catch up and I made this lemon cake for the occasion. With the leftover lemon syrup, I made some limoncello! I don't really drink alcohol but I don't mind a little limoncello. Some other news... I enjoyed watc...

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

Some people dream of holidays, designer bags or fancy cars. Me? I dream of buying a SMEG fridge!  I love the retro design, curved edges, the fact that they're made in Italy and of course the pale colours. My mum and I went to the SMEG display shop and I admired the pale green fridge, small oven and cute appliances. I'm on the lookout for a fridge and am very tempted by the green SMEG fridge, the only thing that's putting me off is the very expensive price! Afterwards, my mum and I went to Williamstown beach for a wander around the pier and a delicious lunch of mussels in sauce and a herb broth with a slice of Turkish bread. I wore my Afghan coat that shielded me from the cold wind. Peaking out underneath my coat is my Leona Edmiston dress clover dress that I found at an op-shop earlier this year. What's your dream kitchen item? X Title : Dreams by Fleetwood Mac.
