It just takes some time, little girl, you're in the middle of the ride

House hunting... it's a lot of work! Looking at real estate listings every day, going to inspections every weekend, putting in offers, making bids at auctions. Homes are very expensive at the moment! It's an exciting time, making you're own space and envisioning yourself in your very own home. Recently I inspected a home by a little lake but it wasn't quite for me. I did have a lovely stroll in the sunshine though and admired these yellow wattle flowers. So pretty, growing in many places across Australia. Some other things that have been happening lately... I made my own Turkish Delight! The gorgeous trees at my work are always a delight to look at. Something I enjoy eating once in a while... smoke salmon and cream cheese on toast. Also m y favourite... Krisy Kreme donuts. A gorgeous pot of flowers I brought from Bunnings. I'm going to keep the bulbs and replant them next year. A trip to the beach on a sunny day. What are you up today? X Title : The Middle by Jim...

Live right now, just be yourself

Lately, I’ve been spending most evenings crocheting. I had some of my nonna’s wool and decided to turn it into a few tea coasters, two beanies, and this bag—which I’m especially proud of. Both my nonna and baba taught me to crochet years ago, so it’s a calming, meaningful hobby that keeps me connected to them. I took the bag out for its first outing to the beach, a place filled with memories of time spent there with my nonna. I used two different colours of wool - maroon and navy blue to make this purple looking bag. What do you think? I bought my family and I souvlakis for lunch and my sister bought us ice-creams. I love the freshness of this peach ice-cream flavour and the subtlety of the cherry coconut flavour.  These swans always grace us with their presence. I adore them. We also spotted a miniature yacht race that was fascinating to watch. I've never seen anything like this before. Everyone has their own hobbies, it seems! What are some hobbies you've been enjoying recent...

Oh, what a thing to do and it was all yellow

A day trip is the perfect way to spend hours driving around, admiring nature and picking some flowers. That's exactly what my mum and I did the last time we visited one of our favourite country towns, Daylesford. Everywhere we looked we spotted Australia's iconic yellow wattle. It's so stunning and a beautiful contrast to my black, velvet dress that I found in an opshop near my work. I like to visit there and chat to the ladies that work there and find the occassional treasure. This black dress with long, flutter sleeves reminds me of something fabulous that Morticia Addams would wear! My mum and I were so delighted to spot a field of daffodils on the side of a road. We happily frolicked around despite the slippery mud and picked a few to take home. I love that the yellow flowers coincidentally compliment the sunflowers on my Afghan coat. Some creative person made these horse and lion sculptures using bits of tree trunks. There are some very creative people in the world. ...
